The Figure shows maximum temperature anomalies in February 2004.  The patterns indicate that warmer than average maximum temperatures persisted in much of the sub-region. Much of the sub region observed maximum temperatures warmer than the average by at least 1°C with isolated areas in the northern sector recording maximum temperature anomalies above 2°C.
