The patterns indicate that the rainfall totals in February 2004 were between 75% and 125% of the average over much of the southern sector. Isolated areas in the equatorial sector recorded rainfall above 175% of the average. Rainfall totals that fell below 25% of the average were recorded in the western parts of the northern sector.
